Vintage Zenith model 500 E-1 8-transistor pocket radio (AM only). This model is sometimes called \"Owl Eyes\" for its destinctive owl-like look. This radio is in decent physical condition, with all pieces present and mechanically working. There are scuff marks on the case from lots of play over the years, but it looks good considering its age.Includes original owner\'s manual, carrying pouch which are hard to find. Takes 4-AA batteries
Radio powers up an picks up few stations but with squeals. Speaker has been replaced with a 16-ohm speaker but needs a 4-ohm speaker per schematic which will be included with the radio.
