Vintage Wood Tray Inlay Marquetry / Serving / Rosewood or Teak
A wonderful inlaid antique wooden tray. Handcrafted and inlaid with a design of a shepherd with his flock of sheep. Rosewood with various exotics for inlays. It measures 10\" x 20\" and the sides are approximately 1 3/16\" tall on the outside and 3/4\" tall on the inside. Natural finish. It has been cleaned and coated with food grade mineral oil to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. The sides have a slight curve to them, one more than the other as pictured. This appears to have been the way it was made and not from warping. On the back there is a small defect in the wood that may have been filled at one time. See the photos. This is an antique piece that dates to before 1950. An Estate item from someone that traveled in the Far East. Country of origin is unknown.
