Vintage US Army Dark Blue Heavy Denim Duffle Utility Bag or Sack.Approx 23 inches long. Diameter of circular bottom is about 16 inches.
Bag is in great condition with a few snags in the fabric. There is a photo of the worst one.
Tag inside the bag is not very legible but a date of May 1942 is stamped on the label.
This bag was stored in the bottom of a cedar chest belonging to the wife of a GI who returned from the European Theater in December 1945. I suspect after he returned home, the duffle bag was put away and never used again. Found recently when caring for the estate of the couple.
