Item is a circa WWI 1.25” celluloid pinback issued by theBritish Sailors Society Appeal to raise money for British MilitaryMembers. Shows a black & white imageof Matthew Flinders, who is credited with being the first person to utilize thename Australia to describe the entirety of the continent. No manufacturer’s ID on this item. Has cut slot pin on the reverse. Item is Very Good Plus with no celluloidcracks or breaks. Reverse has lost allits silvering and has a touch of rust.
