For your consideration is this vintage, slightly salty 1950\'s - 1960\'s U.S. Navy officer\'s cap. Made in the U.S.A. by Bancroft. Features a khaki wool, removable cover. Removable khaki wool cover shows several very tiny pin point moth holes and a moth track. Gold tone chin strap shows salt & sun fading (this was a working line officer\'s cap). Size: 7 1/8 embossed onto the tan leather sweat band. Cap badge is twice marked \'STERLING\' and \'Vanguard N.Y.\'. Also marked \'1/20 10K G.F.\'. A multi part-construction emblem. Tan leather sweat band has all its stitches intact. Cap manufactured by Bancroft U.S.A.. Complete with removable paper name tag (unsigned) in interior crown guard.slot.
