Vintage Toile Fabric Met Museum Repro PANURGE DANS L'ILE DES LANTERNES NOS: $225.00
92" length x 34" width (36" from selvage to selvage) Fabulous vintage fabric, restored and now ready to use. It is a reproduction of a French document from the 1780s - 1790s in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art called "Panurge dans l'Ile des Lanternes", manufactured decades ago. The fiber is 100% cotton. This piece was cut from a bolt of the fabric some years ago and then never used. There may be more unused yardage from the original bolt available. If you are interested, please inquire here. Thecondition is unused, just restored, freshly laundered and hand pressed, clean and crisp. It was dusty with some age spotting and tape residue. There are still some faint traces of tape residue in the first 6-8 inches at one end but we did not include this in the length of 92" (see photos 10 & 11). Pleaseexamine all the photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description.
