“Style is to be simple.” The arrival of Elsa Peretti at Tiffany Co. in 1974 signaled a revolution in mode design. Like her jewelry, Peretti’s objects and accessories are praised for their elegant simplicity and fluid natural form, becoming a reference in the world of fashion and design.

Elsa Peretti, the acclaimed jewelry designer and fashion model, died at her home in Sant Martí Vell, Spain on March 18. Her designs live on.

Elsa Peretti started her career as a model for designers like Halston and began making jewelry in the 70’s. Perretti’s first collection debuted at Tiffany’s in 1974.
