This Music Box Plays Well. There are no marks or gouges on the wooden box, and the mechanism plays as intended and expected. The stop lever works to keep a disc from starting to play while being wound - can be weak to stop the disc if fully wound and music is already playing. I am uncertain if that is inherent in the design, or if it is a result of age and playing music on it. There are screws that look like they may serve mechanical adjustment on such features, though I do not have the knowledge or skillset to presume making adjustment. I never tinker outside my ability. As is noticeable, I haven\'t even dusted the interior for photos.
Included are fifteen discs with the music box - five in the lid storage are all Christmas compositions, ten are in original box sets of five assorted -mostly classical, opera and a couple of early European folk. Boxes intact, showing their age, though not structurally deteriorated.
