Vintage Stanley Bedrock No 604 Smooth Plane Type 6 Very Fine Rosewood Beauty:

Complete and original, a beautiful and very fine example of a vintage Stanley Bedrock No 604 smoothing plane. It is approx 9 inches long with a blade width of 2 inches.

It’s a type 6 and It was manufactured circa 1915 nearly 110 years ago.

The Bedrock logo lever cap is the correct cap and with teardrop shape hole.

Metal bed and all other metal parts are excellent, no cracks breaks, or repairs. I placed a straight edge along the sole and it appears perfectly straight, no warping. There is a very interesting single owners mark stamped on the center left side.

The bed had 2 patent dates cast into it in front of the rear tote, the brass depth adjustment nut is the smaller 1 inch in diameter. The original japanning finish is great more than 90 percent.

The premium Brazilian Rosewood handles are beautiful, no breaks or cracks or repairs.

The blade is straight no kinks or pitting, has the correct trademark logo for the type and is nearly full length and very sharp.

This Bedrock plane is in extra nice working and cosmetic condition. It has the famous frog adjustment system and All adjustments move and work smoothly.

of these high quality made in the USA vintage hand tools back into

the hands of today’s craftsmen. I would never “part out” a good tool just for the proceeds. If the tool I have acquired is serviceable I will put it into as good of condition it can be and sell to friends or on . All I am trying to
