Up for sale is a VintageSolder Seal “Liquid Wrench” Advertising Tin Oil Can! This is a 4 oz. squirt oil can from the 1960s or early 1970s! It is marked as Part No. LI-04, and made by the Radiator Specialty Company, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The oil can has great advertising graphics, including the slogan “It Melts the Rust Away!”. This is a metal (tin) oil can with a yellow plastic spout and red cap. The can is still about one-half full with vintage oil inside. The tin measures about 3⅞” tall (5” overall to top of spout) x 2⅛” wide x 1” deep. As shown in the photos, this vintage oil can is in very good condition for its age with nice bright colors and sharp details. It has a little surface wear, including a few small marks, light scuffs or scratches, and possibly a light dent or ding typical for a container this old. There is some surface soiling and light oxidation on the top, and its bottom has some rust as shown. This vintage “Liquid Wrench” advertising tin oil can would make a great addition to your collection!
