Vintage Small 59\" by 48\" 9 Patch Quilt - Crib, Youth Bed, Display or Cutter:

This small Nine Patch quilt, measuring 59\" by 48\", would have been appropriate for a youth bed or could have been a larger crib quilt. It has nice soft colors with quaint designs in the small squares bordered by a beautiful blue. The quilt was both pieced together and sewn to the backing by machine. There is no batting, so it is a thin summer quilt. The quilt must have been well loved and used since both the top and bottom edges are frayed and separated in places. There are some holes in the fabric and some fading, as well as wear to the stitching. Please look at all the pictures, as I have included pics of all the wear. Also note that the blocks do not line up perfectly and the stitching is not straight in places. In fact the width is slightly off different when measured at the top versus the bottom! I still think this could be a nice usable quilt, or a nice wall display if set in a frame. It would also be great for making pillows, as the blue bordered areas are about 14-15\" wide, or used as a cutter quilt for stuffed animals, etc. Please note that there are cat hairs on the quilt, as a laid it on my (queen sized) bed to take pictures and I have two cats. I will attempt to get rid of all of this cat hair prior to shipping, but if you are allergic to cats, it will be best not to buy it. There is some feedsack material in the quilt. It is difficult to date, but I would guess the 1930\'s or 1940\'s.
