Vintage Siam Niello cigarette case with 2 dancers at front. Measures approx. 3 x 5. Date unknown.
I couldn\'t find any obvious stamps or marks that would identify the maker or whether it\'s sterling silver. In the top right corner is a possible hallmark, what looks to be 3 characters, or it could possibly be 3 dents/dings, I don\'t know (see 2 pics with arrow). Although unsigned, it looks, feels, and definitely polishes like silver but I\'m not a jeweler or metal expert so I can\'t confirm that, sorry. I can confirm that it\'s vintage, and not new.
Condition is what I consider to be good. Hinges are fine and case closes shut completely, there are no major dents or cracks. Flaws are what you\'d expect for a soft metal object that\'s been around a long time: scuffs, light scratches and dings. Also some oxidation in places, mostly on the inside. In my opinion they\'re pretty superficial and the case is still beautiful, but please view all pics closely and decide for yourself, thanks.All sales are final, so please be sure to check measurements carefully and ask questions if needed.
