This whimsical, colorful set of vintage marbles was purchased at the Louvre Museum in the 1990s. Brand is L'école Buissonnière. Condition is New.
The label on the top of the container reads: The first balls were made of flint or terracotta. They only became round from 1846, when they were produced in large quantities. The small balls of marble, agate or glass are then called sculls. There are many marble games: pursuite, viadue, capture cap, blockette, pyramid.
