The Russian Podstakannik dates make to the late 18th century and literally translates as ‘item under the glass’.

This vintage example has colour ways and is highly decorative. Impressed marks to the base.

Some age use related wear.

7.5cms to the rim, 9cms to the top of the handle. Base diameter of 8.4cms, rim diameter of 6.7cms.
