Vintage Postcard: History Military. This card commemorates WWI allied victories in France, July 1918. The battles were at Aisne and at Marne. The card is in VG/EX condition.

There are several curiosities about this card. The French stamp was affixed to the front of the card and cancelled there, which seems unconventional. Also, as shown in one of the pictures, it appears this is an a/s card.

The reverse has interesting markings and notations. The words “Carte Postale” (I.e., post card) are crossed out and an apparent French word is written below the cross out. Based on handwriting, this word was written by the sender. And, the purple-ink stamp, LL, likely shows the sender’s name and address. I would love to know additional information anyone may provide.
