Vintage Thanksgiving postcard: The inscription “Thanksgiving Greetings" appears in the upper left quadrant, printed over a flag-inspired shield. The bottom portion of the card shows a turkey surrounded by fall harvest decor. In the background two people are shown harvesting grain or hay. At UL is the inscription “Drawing Copyright 1908 B. Hofmann.”

The embossed card displays beautiful color within a gold border. The reverse is stamped (US 1-cent green Franklin) and is postmarked Bellevue, PA, Nov 26, 1909, the Friday immediately after Thanksgiving. The cancellation is a classic flag cancel. There is a brief handwritten message. A publisher’s trademark appears LL. The card is in excellent condition.
