In excellent preowned condition.

The set includes an elegant inkwell and sand sifter on an accompanying tray. Hand painted with a lovely intricate design. Gold rim.

This line of porcelain by the iconic brand pays homage to the Orient Express era of sophistication. Each piece from the line reflects a memento one would find at each stop crossing the European continent. This listing is a souvenir from Paris, the departing city.

Pounce powder or sand was sprinkled over wet ink to hasten drying. The way before blotting paper was invented.
