Vintage Plaster Horse Statue Sculpture by Asa Carpenter “Jackknife” c1940s:

This is a plaster cast of a wood horse sculpture by Asa Carpenter, titled "Jackknife" originally done in 1889 in Brewer, Maine.

This piece is made of what I believe is a solid piece of painted plaster and is a substantial 12 inches in length, 14 inches in height, and 4 inches in width. Purchased many years ago in Connecticut I do not know when it was made but it appears to be from the early to mid 20th century.

The sculpture is perfect for any lover of animals or art, and it will be a standout piece in any room. It weighs over 7 lbs before packing.

It is a stunning piece that will add to your home decor and would look great in a library, den, man cave, bar area or anywhere you want a beautiful equestrian themed sculpture.

The piece is in good condition with some areas of wear, the eye on the right side is slightly different from the left and was replaced but it is a good match. Other than that it is a beautiful piece.
