Item up for sale is a super cool Philco model H973-124 table model tube radio with plastic cabinet made sometime around 1959. This piece is a total parts and repair piece suitable for restoration or parts harvesting and in no way should be considered in collector quality condition. Item was plugged in and give time for tubes to warm up and it did not turn on. Label on the underside of the base shows wear, tear and loss and identifies the model number and gives a serial number of 97966. Knobs move as they should and dial indicator moves. Dial and indicator shows finish wear and loss.Plastic casing shows two cracks in the plastic on the top panel with the most notable being one that runs from back edge to front edge roughly in the center. Left side of the body has a crack in the plastic that runs from the back edge to the front edge along the lower 1/4th of the body. Top panel shows old residue and discoloration to the plastic. Plastic body shows wear around edges and corners with some chips along the edges. Radio cabinet shows surface scratches and patina throughout with each side showing some speckles of old paint residue and front grille showing heavy soiling and paint residue in the grooves. Entire piece shows a heavy soiling and could use a detail cleaning with a likely detail cleaning needed on the interior. Front panel on the radio shows heavy soiling as do the knobs. Item measures 7-3/8" top to bottom by 14" wide by 5-3/8" in depth. Super cool 50's radio just screaming for a new life. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
