This pewter souvenir spoon for Fort Gaines is a rare find. It has a nice pewter weight to it and measures 4 1/4\" in length. It has backstamps of \"Watsons USA and 137\". It is in excellent condition with a cannon at the top of spoon, 4 stars down the handle and Fort Gaines Dauphin Island, AL stamped on front of spoon. Fort Gaines is where Admiral Farragut during the Civil War battle at Mobile Bay, shouted, \"Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!\" This is a wonderful addition to any collection!
