This is a Parker 51 aerometric fill fountain pen, in Forest Green, with a gold-filled cap. The barrel is a deep, rich green. It has nice color and shine, and the 1948 date stamp is clear. The cap is gold-filled, and shows a little bit of aging; there is a tiny bit of brassing on the cap lip, and a tiny ding on the back. This is one of the early aerometric pens, meaning the nipple isn\'t likely to deteriorate. The sac guard is the original screw-on version, and a new pli-glass sac has been installed. The nib is a really firm and light 14K fine that writes gently with a solid feel.
