Item: (1) Rare, large albumen print of businesses and buildings along the Elbe River in Hamburg, Germany c.1895. On the right are homes and shops lining Cremon Street. It is located on one of the waterways off the Elbe River now called NIKOLAIFLEET.

The details are excellent. There is only one person in the photo and it is an old lady sitting on her porch in late Victorian, early Edwardian dress.

In the photo is the book printing shop owned by CONRAD MÜLLER (Buchdrukere) at Cremon #25.

The name ECKSTEIN and NURZHOLZER at Cremon #24.

A very old worn sign can be seen for TISCHLER & WERKZEUGN. (Would be at Cremon #27)

A large German cathedral spire stretches to the top of the photo. There are a few passenger boats docked on the river. A bridge is in the distance with scaffolding on one building that is being painted.

This photo was meant to be pasted to cardboard but was pasted to paper instead and is slightly warped. This can be pressed down under glass if desired.
