Vintage Original Novelty Jinmei Circus Clown, a Talking Musical Alarm Clock from the 1960\'s Japan or earlier.
The colorful clown is holding the tips of his oversized shoes while balancing on top of a beach ball. They both resting on a circular Dias with a speaker opening.
Once you set the time of the alarm you can pull out his nose to activate it. When it goes off you are greeted with a musical ditty and a bright and chipper voice saying
Hi!Good Morning!Wake up, Wake up!!-over and over again until you push in his nose to silence the alarm.Fully tested and working, the voice/music is scratchy but fully understandable.
The single control on the back adjusts the alarm time by pushing it in and turning while the time is adjusted by pulling and turning.
The nose control is push to turn on and push again to turn off.
Measures 10 1/2\" tall and 6 1/4\" at the clown shoes. Dias is 4 1/4\"
