Vintage Murano Oggetti LARGE 17” Glass Swan, Possibly Barbini:

This was purchased in the 1990s, new, from a known retailer. Oggetti is a well-known Miami-based importer. They imported Murano glass from many furnaces, so there’s no definitive way to determine its source beyond the “OGGETTI ITALY” and the “MADE IN MURANO-VE-ITALY” decals attached.There appears to be possible internal stress marks behind the beak, but I believe them to be as-made, since the swan has been in my possession since its purchase.The body has gold accented bubbles and there are elongated bubbles decorating the swan’s neck.There are a few minor scratches on the polished base, but other than the possible stress marks described there are no other scratches, cracks or chips. Message me if you want to see more pictures.As is true with all hand-blown works of art, there could be some imperfections in the glass and the design. Please examine the photos carefully for the details.Measurements are approx. 17” tall, 9 1/2\" long, 4 ¼” wide and weighs 9 lb.
