Vintage Multi Colored California Tile Spanish Galleon Bookends, Cal Art Tile?:

Old heavy multi colored ceramic bookends, probably made by The California Art Tile Company in the \'30\'s. Some nicks and small chips with one main chip on the lower bottom corner (see photos) but they are structurally solid, present well and are rare. The bookends are made from solid, dense white clay (not hollow) and show Spanish Galleons in heavy relief on a green ocean against a blue background. They were purchased, along with several other California tile and ceramic pieces, from a San Francisco estate. Each bookend measures about 5-3/4\" tall X 6\" wide X 3\" deep. Insured shipping will be $24.95.
