Does not appear to have been used. Tags are still attached and there is no pine pitch inside the tube where it fits onto the top of the tree. Vintage 1998 Mr. Christmas Holiday Lighthouse Tree Topper w/ Lighthouse Keepers House with Box and Documentation. Can be also be used as a table top display. Working fine. I\'ve had these before and they all act the same way so if one of the lights is not illuminated, simply give the plastic tube on the bottom a little jiggle or very light twist and it will come on and stay on. For some reason, these can be finicky at times. With respect to the packaging - The top cardboard piece that holds the top of the unit in place inside the box is missing, so I created one to secure the item in place for shipping and storage.
