This vintage set of two miniature figurines, likely by Paul Fouque features women from the Provence region of France. The figurines are made of clay and terracotta materials and are painted with intricate details. They are perfect for collectors of decorative items with a French theme and would make a great addition to any collection. The set includes two figurines, both depicting women in traditional Provencal clothing. Both figurines feature women wearing a scarf and skits and seated in a chair.
But who knows? I am not an expert in Provencial figures and cannot find anything exactly like them on the internet. They were from an estate sale and belonged to a very old woman who traveled the world. Maybe they are something different and even more valuable?One woman holds a basket on her arm. Condition: some of the paint is worn and has chips. One hardworking woman has a bit of a chipped nose. It happens! The bottoms have hollow spots and are unmarked and so the figures are priced accordingly. These 3 D figurines are a beautiful representation of French culture and would be a great conversation piece for anyone who loves collecting vintage items.
The ladies will be packed carefully and come from a non-smoking home :)
