Midwest Express Airlines started operations at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport in 1984. They were well known and loved by business travelers due to their great inflight service. They were famous for their chocolate chip cookies that were baked in flight, and their slogan was \"The Best Care In The Air\". After a short-lived and failed acquisition, they merged with Frontier Airlines. They adopted the livery on this sign in 1989. I believe this sign dates to the mid 1990s. It came into my possession around the year 2000. They dropped the word \"Express\" from their livery and signage in 2002. This sign would have been found inside an airline terminal building, likely behind a check-in counter. As of right now there are a group of investors that hope to put Midwest Airlines back into the friendly skies.
