Vintage Mid Century Modern red bull decor statue - Highly Collectible:

Vintage, late 50\'s - 60\'s, Mid-century era. Rare and large red plaster bull with stylized spoked wheel eyes in a fanned gold color with a center of mint pupil coloration. Reminiscent of, or in the manner of, and leanding itself to the stylized poopular Italian Bitossi ceramic plaster bulls. Overall the upper body has cross-hatched design details, with large swathes of smoothened or formed areas along the contours of lower body. There is also a fabulous fish scale design motif along the serpentine spinal column; from the back of the bull\'s horns meandering and undulating along the path of the bulls back towards the buttocks area, including the stylized curled tail. Makers mark long one of the insides of the back leg (as shown in photos). The entire statue is washed in a transparent black glaze which helps to emphasize the detailing.The statue is in good overall condition. Small hairline glazing crack on the underside the is only cosmetic in nature and not noticeable.
