This is a touch lamp, however touch sensor does not appear to be working. The only way to turn on the lamp, is to plug it in. You can purchase an extension cord with a switch at your local hardware store.
The lamp has been priced, with this in mind. There are a few scratches on the shade (see photos). However, if you turn the shade towards the back, it is barely noticeable.
