Vintage Mid-Century Hand-Painted Chinese Four-Panel Lacquered Decorative Folding Screen,1950S

Vintage Chinese hand-painted four-panel lacquered screen featuring a courtyard scene of women engaged in leisurely activities on one side, and colorful flowers and foliage on the other.

The panels are lacquered, with soft pastel color pigments, inlaid with carved colored gemstones that stand out against the black lacquer.

The bottom of each panel is decorated with flowers and supported by straight legs ending with brass-clad feet. It is found in great vintage condition.

Period: 1950s

Size 12 X 16Each panel measures: 12" x 4"
