Artes Folklorico presents a vintage Mexican ceramic pottery sunface made by the celebrated Ken Edwards.He moved to Tonala, Jalisco, Mexico in the 1960s where he founded, KenEdwards Stoneware. He has become of themost well-known ceramicists out of Mexico.His pieces are showcased in Tonala’s National Ceramic Museum as well asothers. This piece features anintriguing face with piercing eyes. Therays of the sun are blazing. There is ahole along the top for hanging on a wall.The back is signed, “Ken” and possibly “Mayan.” The plaque is in excellent vintage conditionwith no breaks, cracks or chips (see photographs). The piece measures 7-inches in diameter. A great find for anyone that collects vintageMexican pottery, ceramics, suns, Mayan pottery or the celebrated work of KenEdwards.
