Description Vintage Maori Tiki Carved Money Box in a very rare and unique design.

This superb hand carved piece has been crafted from a hollowed piece of timber and has amazing \'tattoo\' carvings on two of the sides and the top. To the front of the piece, a beautifully carved Tiki has with Paua Abalone Shell Eyes has been applied.

The base of the money box is a piece Masonite held firmly in place with two screws. This is removed to access your hard earned savings when you choose to do so.

Rear of the piece has its original black and gold \"HAND CARVED IN NEW ZEALAND\" foil sticker.

Measures approx. 8.7cm length, 7.2cm width and stands11.7cm in height.

In excellent vintage condition and displays superbly. The applied Tiki to the front of the money box remains firmly attached, as do the Paua Shell Eyes. The varnish has taken on a beautiful warm and mellow glow consistent with age. Please see photos as they form part of the description.
