Vintage MCM Acrylic Coaster Set 8pc Tortoise Shell Amber Swirl & Plastic StandThis fun amber tone swirl plastic coaster set will make a great addition to your collection whether your focus is on Mid Century Modern or 1980\'s kitsch barware. It features 8 individual coasters that appear to be made of a molded plastic such as acrylic or Lucite with an absorbent foam cord spiral in the center of each coaster in addition to including the original plastic rack (lightweight plastic). The set appears to be unmarked and does have wear including scratches on one end of the rack, one of the coasters has a melted spot/dimple on the face, abrasions, dents and MORE so please read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. Approximate weight is 1 lb 1 oz
Measures approximately 4.75\" x 5\" x 6.75 overall with the coasters in the rack. The individual coasters measure approximately .5\" tall x 4\" x 4\" and are around 5/16\" thick with some variance from coaster to coaster in size and shape.
Condition: In vintage pre-owned used condition with wear including scratching all over one end of the rack as shown in detail in listing photos, one of the coasters has a round melted spot between the foam center and outer edge on the top side of the coaster as shown in the last listing photo, some of the coasters have dented/chipped corners as shown in photos, there is visible glue residue on some of the black foam cording in the centers of the coasters, the rack has at least one chip on the bottom edge and scuffing/scratching on the sides, visible mold marks and seams, rough edges, unevenly molded/cast shapes/edges/corners/details, not all of the round center portion of the coasters are centered, fine abrasions on the surface of all components, scuffing, dirt, dust, grime, smudges, dents, dings, discoloring, the color of the brown swirl acrylic/Lucite varies from coaster to coaster with some of them having more dark/black areas and more patterning/swirl, there is some dulling/hazing on some of the surfaces, air bubbles and lines of separation in the molded acrylic/Lucite, rubbed/scuffed marks on the edges of the coasters, dimpling, pitting, fingerprints, stains, and overall wear from age and handling as shown in photos. Age/era: Unknown, I am guessing that the set was made sometime between the mid 1960\'s and late 1980\'s but I cannot guarantee

Materials: The coasters appear to be made of a molded/cast material such as lucite or acrylic while the stand is made of a lighter more brittle plastic and the black cord centers of the coasters is an unknown foam-like material
