Fabulously large brass and hardwood (most probably teak) crucifix featuring the skull and crossbones below the Christ figure, signifying this as a pectoral crucifix reserved for high position clergy in the Catholic faith.
Well detailed cast Christ figure, with the 'INRI' plaque above his head wrapping to the sides of the crucifix frame. Rear is solid brass with solid rivets holding all front elements well in place. Quality made, most likely turn of the 20th century.
Approximate measurements: 7 1/8" high overall, 3 1/4" wide, is 5/8" thick including the Christ figure.
Condition Notes:No damage, dents, breaks, splits, cracks, etc. A few marks on the back, some light tarnish in tight spaces present, no cleaning performed as to preserve the original patina.
