This vintage Handlan lantern is a true gem for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage kerosene lamps. Made in the United States, this piece features a noticeable orange color and has a ribbed red glass globe that adds a unique touch to any display. The lantern’s globe is embossed with the makers name, as well as the very top of the lantern. Embossed opposite of the Handlan name on the top states: St. Louis, U.S.A. Beneath this: Street Dept.

The wire handle is a little bent out of shape. This lantern still has a wick in it. The knob and wick move accordingly. I thought this would be useable, until I noticed the soft spot on the bottom. There’s a spot of rust-through. That’s a bummer. But if you’re handy or just want it for a display piece, this lantern would be perfect. Could be washed up a bit better.
