Up for sale is a beautiful Kaywoodie Super Grain shape 5171 (Miami Brown Finish/ Slim Canadian shape). With the 4-digit shape number it dates to at least the late 1930\'s. The middle position of the white clover logo on this model has always intrigued me but, I\'ve found no answers. At the time it was produced the Super Grain logo had been moved from being located on the shank to the top of the stem. Later, it would move to the side. The condition of the pipe is excellent and when I received it although it had not been restored, I actually did no more than clean and polish, so it\'s been well taken care of. The bowl inner bowl has no charring, and the stem is mark free. The SynchroStem stem is also clocked correctly. Even with the typical beautiful Kaywoodie grain of this era this one stands out. The Super Grain was Kaywoodie\'s flagship grain up until 1938 with arrival of the Flame Grain.It has been lightly cleaned, polished and checked over and is ready for your collection. It should provide another lifetime of smoking pleasure! Pipe measures 5 5/8\" L x 1 1/2\" H with a bowl bore of 11/16\". Pipe rest in photos is a prop and not included in sale.
