This a vintage \"Scout Utility\" pocket knife. Tang stamp is KUTMASTER UTICA NY NEW YORK USA. Made by Utica Cutlery in Utica, New York. 1950’s to early 60’s era. 3-5/8” closed (plus bail) four-blade “Scout Utility” knife. Nickel silver bolsters. Brass liners and pins - old style hand-peened handle pins. All blades have strong snap, no wobble. Rogers bovine bone handles. The back handle has an almost invisible hairline from the lower handle pin to the bottom bolster. Used, carried, appears that it was never sharpened. The main spear blade has the factory finish and edge with stains, patina. The other three blades are each full, stained, patina. The handles on this knife were crafted from SouthAmerican Zebu cattle shin bone. Genus/Species -Bos indicusorBos taurus indicus.
