Offered for consideration is a vintage Japanese wooden black lacquer and mother of pearl cache pot planter with designated stand. Accented with a gold colored panels that are embellished with mother of pearl decoration and Asian brass handles at the sides, this is a well crafted beautiful old planter that is suited for any room in your home. Standing approximately 17" in height when placed on the stand (10" without) and measuring 12" square at its widest point, the planter comes with the original metal liner insert in which to house your plants. Moderate oxidation is present at the bottom and lower corners of the insert but it remains stable and secure with many years of functional life remaining. The exterior wooden planter and stand shows occasional corner bumps and minor lacquer loss, minor loss to the mother of pearl, mild oxidation and patina to the brass handles, and minor cracking/webbing to the lacquer finish. None of these imperfections are glaringly obvious or distracting; the planter presents itself well, and is in overall good functional and decorative condition with wear commensurate to age and history of use.
