What is Nishijin-ori?

Nishijin brocade is a textile produced inKyoto.

It is a luxurious and gorgeous textile thathas been produced since the Heian period in Japan.

It is characterized by patterns woven withvarious techniques using beautifully dyed threads.

* There is a sticker on the back of the edgeof the obi that certifies Nishijin-ori. ( Please refer to the Video.)

・This obi is unused and untailored. Therefore,it cannot be worn as a kimono.　It is recommended to be enjoyed as a work ofart.
