An adorable 1960's hand-painted ceramic monkey holding a banana. Very detailed hand-painted features, beautiful work.

It's no secret that Elvis had ceramic monkeys in his Graceland jungle room, and partially because of that, these are highly desirable and collected by many! There are other vintage ceramic monkey enthusiasts and collectors that collect them simply because they are no longer made as exquisitely as they were in the mid 20th century.

This is a really cute one...possibly the cutest ceramic monkey I've ever seen.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Some crazing which is normal for age.

*When purchasing ceramic monkeys with bananas, notice the quality of the monkey you are looking at. (Much like real life) There are differences between low and high quality monkeys. This monkey has character and a lot of detail - down to the hairs on its back. I do not find any marks, but he most definitely is Italian.
