This item is hand carved from caribou (reindeer) bone, with incising on the body. The patina through out the piece shows some age. When carrying by the handle and shaking it, it makes clear sounds (sounds from bones hitting each other). It was acquired with other bone and antler carvings as part of an Inuit art collection. Our best guess is that this carving is an Inuit doll or a toy for children.
It is in very good vintage condition -- no damage, no repair. Please check all the pictures for condition details.
