It appears to be gold medal or tin repousse/pressed and crafted into a simple, gold color frame.The bodies of the Virgin and the Christ Child, both have jeweled crowns. On the backside at the top there is triangle loop for hanging. On the bottom of the Icon a sentence in polish which means in English " We fly to your patronage". This icon traveled a word. Originated in Poland, purchased in Russia and was given to grandmother in Hungary than arrived to America.
