Old, original tag is still on the base: \" Hagness Pewter , Norway , 271 \"
Undated; probably around 40 to 50 years old.4 9/16\" in diameter, overall.
Wide and sturdy, this holder is large enough to accommodate a candle up to 3 3/4\" in diameter.
Central spike to hold the candle in place.
Green felt over the base.Decorated with a pattern of Viking longboats, Viking warriors, and rosemaling.-----Rosemaling is the name of a traditional form of decorative folk art that originated in the rural valleys of Norway.
