On this particular pennant, it appears that War Veterans were autographing it with a fine point pen. On the monument graphic itself, what is written is \"Veni Vidi Vici\" - meaning \"I came, I saw, I conquered,\" a famous quote from Julius Caesar. My best guess at some of the names in the signatures are Hank Chafetz, Tor H Nilsen, Larry Smiley, Sam Bromberger, K.E. Lowe \"The Ogre\", Bob or Rob Sager. It would be wonderful it this pennant could find it\'s way back to them or a family member.

High Point, the summit of the Kittatinny Ridge, rises 1,803 feet above sea level — the highest elevation in the state of New Jersey. Atop the mountain’s summit is the High Point Monument, dedicated to New Jersey’s veterans. This monument and the more than 16,000 acres that comprised High Point State Park were the generous gifts of Anthony and Susie Dryden Kuser in 1923. Beginning in the mid-1800s, people have been refining High Point’s already-inviting natural landscape – building roads and trails, beaches and picnic grounds, concession areas and campgrounds – all planned to enhance both the natural beauty of the landscape and to make the park more enjoyable for visitors. Today, as in the past, hiking, camping, swimming, picnicking, sightseeing, snowshoeing and skiing are enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year who come to relax in this beautiful historic landscape.
