Vintage Henri Gautier Leather LadiesSaddle #210. Made in France. Henri Gautier saddles were commonly found on Peugeot bicycles of early 1970s.Double-railed with tensioner. Intended for 7/8\" pillar post. Metal loops at rear for Peugeot tool bag.Saddle weighs 1 lb. 7 oz.Saddle stamped \"croupon veritable\" indicates leather is high quality from rear section of cow hide.
Saddle is from Ladies Peugeot and was stored in my box of old, good quality parts. We sold and rode Peugeots. This high quality leather saddle would provide an excellent replacement for a restoration project.
