These porcelain hinged boxes (also called PHBs) have become popular collectors’ items. Porcelain Hinged Boxes were originally developed in the 18th century in the Limoges region of France. They were designed to hold perfume, jewelry, and snuff. The PHB Collection from Midwest of Cannon Falls is a contemporary adaptation of the original Limoges Box. The designs are highly detailed and of quality construction.
