During the 1960\'s - 70\'s - 80\'s - Sizes ran smaller, and as a collective, \"people\" were much smaller. It changed some during the 1990\'s when fashion and trend went \"Oversized\".
In short - PLEASE MEASURE!!!! It\'s the safest and only accurate way to shop CLOTHING online.
Measurements are taken with the item laid on a flat surface.
