The Harlequin dinnerware line by Homer Laughlin, designed exclusively for Woolworth stores, was introduced in 1936 and produced until 1964. Select items from the collection were reissued between 1978 and 1983. This particular tea cup and saucer set, part of the original Harlequin series, was manufactured from 1938 to 1951. True to the Harlequin tradition, these pieces are unmarked. The cup is distinguished by its angular handle and both the cup and saucer feature textured rings, glazed in a light green. This vintage set remains in excellent condition, exhibiting only minor surface wear. The glaze is glossy and vibrant. There are no nicks, chips, cracks, or repairs. The small white bumps on the back of the saucer are sagger pin marks, a typical byproduct of the kiln firing process used during manufacturing.
