Nearly an antique, this figurine is in such great shape it’s safe to say that its age isnot in Dog years. It definitely has no dents, scratches or paint degradation.
This Porcelain Whippet Dog is a little over 10” inches tall and 4 inches across.The Oval Base is 7” inches x 4” inches. The figurine weighs 2 pounds, 4 ounces.
Zsolnay Pecs (the maker of this Figurine) was established in 1853 in Hungary.The company became famous when they introduced porcelain pieces made of eosin.The use of eosin makes the piece look metallic, the colors change with the angle of reflection.Typical colors include shades of green, red, blue, and purple.
